AWC plays a key role in supporting vocational education in the hospitality and service industry through its collaboration with Silpakorn University in establishing a city campus at The Empire, AWC's flagship lifestyle mixed-use office complex in the heart of Sathorn. The program also provides students from Franco-Thai Hotel & Tourism Prep School with real-world training and internship opportunities at AWC’s portfolio of hotels and businesses. This initiative aims to develop a new generation of skilled professionals and position Bangkok as a hub for international education.

Pol. Gen. Permpoon Chidchob, Minister of Education, stated: “In a time when the education system must rapidly adapt to global changes, developing curricula that combine academic knowledge with real-world experience is essential to building high-quality human capital. The Vocational Certificate (Por Wor Chor) Program in Hotel Management, offered by the Franco-Thai Hotel & Tourism Prep School, features an impressive instructional model. It serves as an example of educational innovation, blending vocational learning with international skill development—especially in language, service, and hands-on training both in Thailand and abroad. I hope this collaboration between Silpakorn University and AWC, a leading private-sector company in the hospitality and service industry that is truly committed to supporting education, will serve as a model for creative partnerships between the government, academia, and business. Such collaboration will help prepare Thai youth to become a driving force in the global service industry and support the sustainable development and prosperity of our country’s human resources.”

H.E. Mr. Jean-Claude Poimboeuf, Ambassador of the France to Thailand, said: “The educational partnership between Silpakorn University and the Vatel, France, over the past 20 years stands as a strong example of promoting cross-cultural understanding and international human resource development. This new program marks an important step in expanding educational opportunities for Thai students through a combination of theoretical learning and practical training in real-world establishments. It will help build skills, confidence, and a global vision for the new generation. At the same time, it reflects the deep and longstanding relationship between Thailand and France, founded on strong cooperation across multiple dimensions.”

This initiative aims to enhance students’ potential and experience, effectively preparing them and inspiring the new generation to pursue professional careers in the service industry. In particular, having the city campus located at The Empire —an AWC's flagship lifestyle mixed-use office complex, comprising over 300,000 square meters of office space, retail outlets, and restaurants in the heart of the city with convenient access to public transit—is a key advantage for students. The Empire also hosts world-class hospitality projects, including ‘EA’ Rooftop at The Empire, which offers exceptional culinary experiences, as well as The Empire Residence, a co-living space designed to foster creative living and quality learning, with shared activity areas for students. This environment offers students close exposure to industry standards through hands-on experience working alongside global professionals, while also reinforcing Bangkok’s role as a center for international education. We are confident that this program will provide a strong foundation for developing high-quality professionals for society and serve as a vital driving force in elevating Thailand’s service industry to stand out on the global stage.”
