"Asset World Corporation" joins hands with the Tourism Authority of Thailand in response to the opening of the country, supporting the tourism industry in preparation to welcome travelers to 18 AWC affiliated hotels nationwide while boasting the newly renovated "Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town"

9 November 2021, Phuket, Thailand – Asset World Corp Public Company Limited or AWC, Thailand’s leading integrated lifestyle real estate group, moves forward with the policy of opening the country to stimulate the Thai economy and tourism industry, while announcing its readiness to welcome travelers from all over the world to 18 AWC affiliated hotels nationwide, all certified with SHA+ to ensure confidence in traveling from this year's end to the beginning of next year. AWC also unveils the launch of Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town, another AWC affiliated hotel located in Phuket which is considered the "Pearl of the Andaman", launching on the auspicious date of 9 November 2021 onwards.

In accordance with Thailand's policy to open the country on 1 November 2021, allowing travelers from overseas to enter Thailand without quarantine requirements, Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaiboon, Deputy Governor for Domestic Market of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), has discussed the overview and feedback of the opening of the country without quarantine requirements for overseas travelers with no area restrictions starting on 1 November 2021 has evidenced gradual improvements in the tourism scene. The average number of travelers visiting Thailand is at 2,000 - 3,000 people per day with the largest percentage coming from the United States, followed by Germany, Britain, Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, South Korea, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, and the People's Republic of China, via communicating the country's preparedness and strict safety and hygiene measures alongside promoting the "Visit Thailand Year 2022" campaign under the concept of "Amazing New Chapters" that all 29 head offices of the TAT have established. It is expected that by 2021, Thailand will achieve the statistic of at least 1 million travelers.

Ms. Thapanee also added that regarding the domestic market, the TAT has prepared a "Theme Campaign" that corresponds to the travel habits of local Thais, starting with the "UNSEEN New Series" that feature weekday trips of must-visit destinations, "Workation Thailand", and "Thailand Premium" as prime examples. This aims to create new travel experiences under the concept of "Even More Amazing" by integrating the collaboration between TAT, the government sector, and private agencies such as the Ministry of Public Health, the Tourist Police, and operators of airlines, transport systems, shops, restaurants, and souvenir shops, alongside hotel operators that include 18 AWC affiliated hotels nationwide.

Ms. Thapanee states, "TAT is confident that within the year 2021, Thailand will generate at least THB 625.7 million in revenue for the tourism industry and will integrate cooperation with all sectors to promote tourism and economic value in 2022. At no less than THB 1,938,034 million, with local Thai travelers at 160 million people per time and 18 million overseas travelers."

This is considered a positive sign for the tourism sector in the last two months of 2021 and the beginning of next year, where overseas travelers have started to return in large quantities, especially travelers of high purchasing power who were among the first to enter the country. Also taking into consideration events that virtual meetings cannot replace such as weddings and seminars for team building to empower organizations, have also seen continuous confirmations and it is expected that business will return to grow and progress in the beginning of 2022 onwards.
