Asset World Corporation signs new landmark multi-agreement with Marriott International to bring new global hotel brands including ultra-luxury ones to Bangkok and Pattaya on path to build a better future for Thai tourism industry

28 August 2020 – Asset World Corporation (AWC), Thailand’s leading integrated lifestyle real-estate group, marked a new chapter of expanding its diverse portfolio of hospitality and lifestyle destinations through a new multi-agreement signing with Marriott International. The agreement is expected to introduce four new hotels under three global hotel brands across Bangkok riverside and Pattaya beachfront. The agreement stands for an enhanced partnership with the global hotel chain with the highest number of guest rooms on progressive path forward to strengthen Thai tourism and raise the bar of world-class hospitality scene in Thailand to attract new wave of international business and leisure travelers. The new agreement also strengthens the status of AWC as one of the largest owners of Marriott International properties in Asia Pacific (excluding China) with a total number of 6,636 rooms across Thailand, from 9 operating hotels with 3,452 rooms, and 7 future projects with 3,184 rooms (including 4 new hotels under this agreement with 1,638 rooms).

The first three hotels comprise:

  • A Ritz-Carlton Reserve branded hotel, at Asiatique The Riverfront, Thailand’s second ultra-luxury Ritz-Carlton Reserve resort;
  • JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Asiatique Bangkok, the country’s first iconic, luxury JW Marriott Marquis hotel;
  • The Asiatique Bangkok, Autograph Collection, the first hotel to bring the curated experiences of Autograph Collection hotels to Thailand

The three hotels will be located at a new mixed-use development which is the future expansion and revitalization of the world-acclaimed shopping and dining destination Asiatique The Riverfront, all set in magnificent towers slated to redefine Bangkok’s scenic riverside cityscape. The fourth hotel, Aquatique Pattaya, Autograph Collection, another remarkably curated Autograph Collection hotel, will be situated in Aquatique The Beachfront Pattaya, the soon-to-open mega mixed-use destination offering the top world class MICE hotel and facilities, luxury shopping destination and spaces for inspiring art and, fun and entertainment elements in the all-time favorite resort town.

The three new Marriott International hotels at this new development are:

  • A Ritz-Carlton Reserve branded hotel at Asiatique The Riverfront – a signature, one-of-a-kind ultra-luxury boutique resort, first in Bangkok, set in the scenic curve of Chaophraya riverfront, with limited 124 guest rooms meticulously designed to reflect a distinctive personality and sense of place, ideal for travelers who seek to discover a singular location and peerless resort that, through its design and services, blends together the rich culture, history and heritage of Bangkok’s 19 century maritime trade.
  • JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Asiatique Bangkok – the first JW Marriott Marquis hotel in Thailand, consisting of 1,000 guest rooms, features the highest level of comfort, technology, personal service and cutting-edge business facilities for discerning business and leisure travelers.
  • The Asiatique Bangkok, Autograph Collection – Thailand’s first Autograph Collection hotel, with 208 guest rooms, is a new upper upscale hotel encompassing unrivaled combination of freedom and function, with unique charm of local inspiration of 19-century Thai-Chinese trading atmosphere and revived old furniture to mimic local pawn shop and shophouse factory.

AQUATIQUE THE BEACHFRONT PATTAYA – ULTIMATE ALL-IN-ONE SEASIDE DESTINATION
The new mega scale mixed-use destination concept devised by AWC, first-of-its-kind in Pattaya, accentuates the company’s leadership in innovative real estate and pave a new chapter in Pattaya’s reputation as a premier lifestyle and tourism hub in Thailand. The project is a large-scale sophisticated, must visit entertainment destination comprises diversified array of exciting commercial spaces including shopping mall, hotels, theme park, Legoland, performance art space, F&B seafood market, and underground aquarium, located just steps from Pattaya’s beach.
