Bangkok, 4th December 2023 – Asset World Foundation for Charity (AWFC), under Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and business partners, have launched the annual "GIVE GREEN CBD 2023" project for the 10th consecutive year. This initiative operates to drive sustainable practices for community benefits and value, comprising three main activities: "AWC Charity Market Around", "A Charity Christmas Tree," the environmentally friendly Christmas tree, and "CBD We Run", the charity city half marathon. AWC invites Thai people to contribute to the community with the launch of "AWC Charity Market Around" and "A Charity Christmas Tree" at The ‘Empire'.

Mrs. Wallapa Traisorat, Chief Executive Officer and President, Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), and a board member of The Asset World Foundation for Charity, stated that "AWC believes in the power of collaboration from all sectors to create holistic value and sustainability for society and the environment. We are delighted to strengthen the partnership with BMA and 50 leading business partners, supporting our goal to create community-focused activities and bring happiness to the people of Bangkok as we joyfully celebrate across the year-end festivities. Today, we officially launch the 'GIVE GREEN CBD 2023' project. Celebrating its 10th consecutive year, the project supports the spirit and commitment of the Asset World Foundation for Charity in implementing projects to contribute value back to the community, under three key 'Pun' initiatives: 'Pun Fun' for supporting education, 'Pun Dee' for the country’s preservation of religion and culture, and 'Pun Sook' for supporting good health and community well-being. Our overarching aim is to drive long-term sustainability for all stakeholders and work towards 'Building a Better Future’ together.”

"GIVE GREEN CBD 2023" project consists of 3 activities, namely:

  • "A Charity Christmas Tree" aims to spread joy and inspiration with an environmental Christmas tree in the heart of Sathorn, constructed from recycled PET bottles from Chang Mineral Natural Still Water from Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, our main partners, under the Circular Economy model to promote consciousness in conserving the environmental sustainability. The exquisite Christmas tree will be on display for all to appreciate at the G floor of The ‘Empire' from 4th December 2023 - 5th January 2024. The proceeds will be donated to the ‘Pun Fun’ project for education support and PET bottles will be recycled into CBD We Run medals and running T-shirts in January 2024.
  • "AWC Charity Market Around" contributes to society by organizing a charity market that invites everyone to shop for creatively crafted and socially impactful products. The market showcases items for household use, home decoration, health products, local handicrafts, and environmentally friendly products. It brings together partner stores of AWC and numerous charitable organizations, including The GALLERY, reConcept, Living Brand, and many more. "AWC Charity Market Around" will take place in three rounds at The ‘Empire' on M and G floors, on 4th December and 6th – 8th December 2023, as well as at Gateway Ekamai and Asiatique The Riverfront Destination. The proceeds will be donated to the ‘Pun Dee’ project for supporting the preservation of local religion and culture.
  • "CBD We Run" a charity city half marathon, invites runner participation in environmental conservation by minimizing waste and maximizing resource utilization. This is achieved by incorporating recycled PET bottles used in creating "A Charity Christmas Tree" into the Runner Pack. The pack includes medals made from bottle caps, running T-shirts produced from recycled PET fiber, and encourages runners to use portable silicone water bottles during the race to minimize their environmental impact. "CBD We Run" is scheduled for 28th January 2024, at The ‘Empire'. Interested participants can register at www.CBDWeRun.com from today until 15th January 2024. The contribution from each runner will involve the donation of one plant to the "BangkokTree: One Million Trees Project," of BMA. The proceeds, after deducting expenses, will be allocated to the "Pun Sook" project aiming to enhance the landscape of public parks, and promote the well-being of communities in Bangkok.
