Bangkok, 18 January 2026 – The Asset World Foundation for Charity (AWFC), under Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), Thailand’s leading integrated lifestyle real estate group, in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and a strong network of partners across Bangkok’s central business district (CBD), today hosted “CBD WE RUN 2026,” part of the “GIVE GREEN CBD” project. This landmark event celebrates its 12th consecutive year as one of the city’s highly anticipated annual “City Run” events.
Organized under the theme “Run Creatively, Love Bangkok,” the early morning event welcomed more than 3,000 runners from across Thailand, transforming Bangkok’s CBD into a vibrant and energetic space. This initiative reflects the commitment of The Empire, a landmark building certified with WELL Platinum and FITWEL 2-Star ratings. Central to this initiative is the integration of activities to foster sustainable positive health outcomes for tenants, the broader community, and international participants who have been a vital part of this journey throughout its 12-year legacy.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, together with Mr. Michael Hariz, Chief Commercial Officer of Asset World Corp Public Company Limited, and joined by key partners from the CBD, including Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, C.E.S. Co., Ltd., KPMG Thailand, Thai Samsung Electronics Co., Jardine Schindler (Thai) Co., Ltd., Frasers Property (Thailand) Public Company Limited, Krungthai Asset Management Public Company Limited, Bualuang Securities Public Company Limited, Siam Commercial Bank Public Company Limited, Everest Consultancy Co., Ltd., Future Visual System Co., Ltd., BJC Big C Group, Okura Nikko Hotel Management Co., Ltd., VGI Public Company Limited, Focus Media (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and others—totaling more than 50 partners. Their presence reflected strong collaboration between the public and private sectors and the wider community in shaping Bangkok into a more livable and sustainable city.
CBD WE RUN 2026 forms a key pillar of the GIVE GREEN CBD initiative, a long-running program collectively driven by stakeholders to foster a healthier, more connected, and environmentally responsible urban environment. GIVE GREEN CBD drives sustainability through activities like AWC's Charity Market Around, a charity market, A Charity Christmas Tree, a festive giving event, and CBD We Run 2026, the city-center charity half marathon. The event aligns closely with AWC’s 3BETTERs sustainability framework – Better People, Better Planet, and Better Prosperity, supporting community wellbeing, environmental responsibility, and balanced social and economic value creation of Building Better Future For All.
This year’s race program catered to participants of all abilities, featuring a 21-kilometre Half Marathon, a 10-kilometre Mini Marathon, and a 5-kilometre Fun Run. Hosting the event within Bangkok’s CBD reimagined streets typically defined by business activity as shared public spaces, allowing participants to experience the city from a fresh perspective.
The theme “Run Creatively, Love Bangkok” was brought to life through inclusive activities that encouraged creativity and participation, including ‘EA’ Rooftop Sunrise Yoga at Nobu Bangkok on Level 57 and the popular Costume Run, which added color and energy while celebrating the diversity and lifestyles that define Bangkok.
Further connecting Bangkok to global contemporary culture, the Costume Run offered an exclusive prize of tickets to Tomorrowland Thailand 2026 – a 3-Day Full Madness Pass, marking the first time the world-renowned music festival will be held in Thailand and reinforcing Bangkok’s growing position as an international lifestyle and tourism destination.
Proceeds from CBD WE RUN 2026, after expenses, will be directed to the “Pun Sook” pillar under the Asset World Foundation for Charity, supporting initiatives that enhance quality of life and environmental conditions in urban communities. Over its 12-year history, CBD WE RUN has attracted more than 20,000 participants, supported 57 schools and 27 hospitals, and continues to serve as a people-powered urban platform enabling all sectors of society to shape Bangkok’s sustainable future together.
