28 November 2025, Bangkok, Thailand - Asset World Corporation (AWC), Thailand’s leading integrated lifestyle real estate group, has unveiled Skyflyers: Wings of Garudapterus, a new riverside experience at Asiatique The Riverfront Destination that invites families, travelers, and visitors from around the world to explore a playful, imaginative world that brings prehistoric Thailand to life. Towering at the height of a 36-story building, Skyflyers is the tallest giant swing ride in Asia-Pacific and Thailand’s first attraction themed around a prehistoric species discovered and formally named in the country, Garudaperus, the first pterosaur ever identified in Southeast Asia. Designed as a journey of exploration, Skyflyers blends scientific storytelling, hands-on learning, immersive themed environments in modern modern way.

Inspired by Garudapterus, a newly identified pterosaur species discovered by Thai paleontologists earlier this year, the landmark brings a national and regional scientific achievement into a dynamic, engaging, family-friendly experience. The species’ name, “Garudapterus,” refers to the “wings of Garuda.” Garuda embodies power, courage, and immortality, and is deeply revered in Thai culture as a symbol of grace, national identity, and auspicious strength. Using immersive design drawn from Thai paleontological landscapes – including canyons, ancient earth, nesting grounds, oasis forests and fossil footprints – Skyflyers creates a visually rich environment that sparks curiosity for all ages. The creative design was supported by educational and scientific guidance through collaboration with the Palaeontological Research and Education Centre, Mahasarakham University, the institution behind this significant paleontological breakthrough.

Guests begin their journey in a prehistoric-themed ticket lounge, styled as a paleontological excavation site with sediment-inspired textures, fossil chambers collaborated together with the Department of Mineral Resources. Families continue into the Garudapterus Hatchery, an interactive and imaginative zone where children scan their “egg ticket” to watch their Garudapterus hatchling emerge on screen before naming their new prehistoric companion. Supported by artwork, animated sequences and the opening of the Birth Certificate, the hatchery introduces foundational concepts of evolution, fossil interpretation and scientific imagination through play-based learning.

The ascent continues via a mining-shaft-inspired staircase, leading to the Observatory Platform, and carefully curated photo points that celebrate both the natural landscape and prehistoric story. The area also offers themed seating and F&B options, providing an open space for all guests to enjoy, whether they choose to take part in the ride experience or simply relax and appreciate the atmosphere.”
