The Athenee Hotel Bangkok, A Luxury Collection Hotel is an iconic luxury hotel with a tropical lagoon-style pool located in Pathumwan district, Bangkok, a central location between the Sukhumvit and Sathorn/Silom areas. The hotel holds the distinction of being the first hotel property in the world to be certified ISO20121 for Sustainability Event Management Systems, having integrated sustainability and the activation of local communities in its daily operation. The use of waste water for toilet flushing has reduced our water useage by 20%. The hotel is also planning to introduce a “Green Meeting Room” which aims to reduce waste caused by meeting rooms. Moreover, the hotel uses organic rice bought directly from farmers as part of a project that supports local farms. These endeavors have enabled the hotel to receive the NTCC Business Awards 2018-2019 for Sustainable Innovations awarded by the Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce.
